Rattenberg - the glass city is inviting to stroll through. Right by our front door you'll find the Maria Brettfall pilgrim chapel. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the whole valley.
The Zillertal is the widest and most well known valley in Tirol.
The Zillertal is known by summer holiday makers and mountaineers alike. This easily accessible tirolean side valley boasts over 1000 km hiking trails and 850 km cycling and mountain biking routes.
Aside from the varied hiking possibilities there are swimming pools, lakes, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, fitness studios, minigolf, firing range and a golf driving range. Not to mention adventure sports such as rockclimbing, paragliding, kite flying and rafting.
Top ski resorts: skiing at up to 3.000 m in height, approx. 830 km of piste, guaranteed valley runs with artificial snow making systems, night skiing, halfpipe, funpark, sun terrace, après ski, various winter events, free skibus, ski schools and kindergarten – fun for the whole family.
Sights worth seeing:
Golden roof, St Annas Column, Imperial Palace, the Court Church – Emperor Maximilian I, Basilica Wilten, St. Jakob's Cathedral, Bergisel skijump, city tower, Alpine zoo, museums etc.
The exhibition consists of a collection of 14 fantastic chambers of crystal marvels. See the smallest and the largest crystal, and a wall built from 12 tons of crystal stones.

The "pearl" of Tirol.
The famous 'Heldenorgel' is the world's largest outdoor pipe organ and plays a 15 minute concert every day in memory of soldiers fallen in both world wars. The music can be heard all over Kufstein.

The church is a 30 minute walk from Strass.
Within the church are beautiful paintings and wooden carvings. The nativity scene is on display the whole year with figures from the 19th century.
